Price Drop discount: run your own instant discount

Price Drop discount lets you lower the price of your products on your own terms. You pick the products, the discount, the dates and how many units to sell at the lower price, with no approval from noon. The discount usually goes live within 30 minutes of submission.

Why use a Price Drop discount

  • No dependency on noon: no approval and no enrollment window.

  • Two discount types: Percent off lowers each product's price by a percentage. Fixed price off lowers it by a fixed amount.

  • Control your stock: committed units set exactly how many units sell at the discounted price.

  • Fast to start and change: the discount usually goes live within 30 minutes, and you can pause or change it at any time.

  • Lowest-price tag: the lower price can earn your product the lowest-price tag.

How to set up a Price Drop discount

Step 1: Create the campaign

  1. In Seller Lab, click Promotions, then Promotions Center.

  1. Under Build your own discounts, find Price Drop discount and click Get started.

  1. Click + Create new in the top right corner.

  1. Choose the discount type: Percent off or Fixed price off. Set the Start date & time and End date & time, then click Select products.

Step 2: Add products

  1. Search or browse your catalog by partner SKU.

  2. Enter the discount for each product: a percentage for Percent off, for example 15, or an amount for Fixed price off, for example 20.

  3. Enter the Committed units, the most units you want to sell at the discounted price. This cannot be more than your available stock.

  4. Click Submit campaign.

Add products in bulk

  1. On the product selection page, click Export this list, or click Upload > Download template.

  1. Fill in one row per product with the columns below. Save the file as .csv or .xlsx, with up to 10,000 rows.
    The file has these columns:

    • deal_code: the deal code of your campaign.

    • partner_sku: your product code.

    • deal_price: the final price you want to sell at. Enter the price itself, not the amount or percentage off.

    • committed_units: the units you commit to this offer.

    • is_deal: 1 to enroll the product, 0 to leave it out or pause it.

  1. Click Upload. In the pop-up that appears, choose your file and click on upload.

Managing a Price Drop discount

  • You can easily manage your voucher by going to the Promotion Center and, under Build your own discounts, find Price drop discount and click Get started.

  • On the next page, you will see all the vouchers you created and you will find a button to Manage.

  • Clicking on Manage will show you all the SKUs that are part of that voucher, and you can activate or deactivate the SKU using the toggle button. You can also use the Add product option to add more SKUs to the price drop discount.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q. Does a Price Drop discount give my product a deal badge?
    A- It shows the discounted price and can earn the lowest-price tag. It does not place the product on noon's deal pages. For deal page placement, join a noon deal or Flash deal.

  • Q. Can I run a Price Drop discount and a noon deal at the same time?
    A- Not on the same product for the same dates. End one before the other starts.

  • Q. Is my commission affected?
    A- Commission is calculated on the discounted price at your normal rate.
