This article offers guidance on handling stock transfers to the Noon warehouse, focusing on quality checks and managing non-saleable items.
Reasons for Non-Saleable Inventory
Non-saleable inventory refers to items stored in the Noon warehouse that cannot be sold due to specific issues. These can be categorized into two main reasons:
Types of Non-Saleable Inventory:
1. Stranded Issue
ASN Inbound QC Failed
Inventory that fails to meet noon's Quality Guidelines upon arrival at their fulfillment center.
Non-Delivered Returns (NDR)
Items that were undelivered to customers.
For FBN orders: NDR items undergo Quality Checks. Saleable items are restocked, while non-saleable items can be returned to sellers with payouts based on grading.
For FBP orders: NDR items are returned directly to the seller.
Customer-Initiated Returns (CIR)
Items returned by customers.
For FBN orders: Items undergo Quality Checks. Saleable items are restocked, while others are returned to sellers with payouts based on grading.
For FBP orders: There are two flows for FBP CIRs.
Seller managed: Refer to the Direct Ship Customer Returns Process to understand how the CIR flow works.
Non- Seller managed: For the non-seller managed CIR flow, items undergo a Quality Check (QC) at noon's FBN warehouse. After that, sellers can request these items back, with payouts based on grading.
Mislabel
Inventory that does not match the SKU details listed on the website.
Expired
Products that have exceeded their minimum shelf life as per noon's inbound QC policy.
Damaged
Inventory damaged while stored in noon’s warehouse.
Researching
Items currently being evaluated by noon’s warehouse team to determine the issue and its classification.
Others
This inventory is being processed by noon's warehouse team to accurately identify the issue and assign it to one of the sub-types.
Important Note:
All non-saleable stranded issue types—except those categorized as "Other" and "Researching"—will incur Monthly Storage Fees (MSF) if they remain stored for 30 days or more. Sellers are strongly advised to retrieve these items promptly to avoid additional charges.
2. Content Issue
Items marked as non-saleable due to content issues are those that do not match the catalog details. Below is a table of common content issues:
reason_code | Reason |
wrong_size | Wrong Size |
wrong_color | Wrong Color |
wrong_title | Wrong Title |
missing_description | Missing Description |
wrong_content | Wrong Content |
wrong_image | Wrong Image |
wrong_model | Wrong Model |
wrong_product | Wrong Product |
wrong_brand | Wrong Brand |
rr_unidentified_scannable | Unidentified Item (scannable) |
To clarify:
rr_unidentified_scannable — the barcode scanning does not show any matching SKU in the catalog.
How to Check Non-Saleable Inventory on Seller Lab
You can easily access your non-saleable inventory by following these steps:
Navigate to the Fulfilled by Noon Section:
Log in to Seller Lab.
Click on Fulfilled by Noon, then select Inventory.
Use the Non-Saleable Filter:
In the inventory dashboard, select the Non-Saleable filter to view all non-saleable items stored in Noon’s warehouse.
Fixing non-saleable (content issue) for NSKU or ZSKU
Products in Noon’s catalog are categorized as either NSKU or ZSKU, depending on whether they are listed through the Noon catalog or the Partner catalog:
1. NSKU (Noon SKU)
These SKUs are listed under the Noon catalog.
Sellers can update offer details but cannot make changes to the content.
How to Fix NSKU Issues:
Use the Non-Saleable Content Issue filter to investigate the issue.
Navigate to the product details section, unmap the barcode from the incorrect SKU, and then remap it to the correct SKU in the catalog.
2. ZSKU (Partner SKU)
These SKUs are listed under the Partner catalog.
Sellers have the flexibility to update both offer details and content.
How to Fix ZSKU Issues:
Visit the product details page and address the content issue to resolve the failure reason in the inbound QC process.
Understanding the Relabeling Feature
The Relabeling feature allows sellers to correct product issues and transfer items back to saleable inventory.
Steps to Relabel SKUs:
- Navigate to Fulfilled by Noon and go to the My Inventory section.

- You will be redirected to the inventory dashboard. Here you will see the Non-Saleable Stock card with a Fixable badge. This badge shows the exact number of units that can return to saleable inventory purely through a catalog update—at zero fee and without requiring physical return. Click on the badge to filter those items.

- Clicking on the count will filter the non-saleable stock with content issues.

- You will also notice a banner displays the total fixable count and the ongoing monthly storage cost that will be charged.

Reviewing Item Guidance, Aging, and Box Details
Before submitting a correction, review the detailed row indicators:
Inspect Reason Guidance.
Hover over the info icon next to any content reason to see what attribute mismatched and a direct link to the fix location.

View Box Details.
Click View Box Details.

This will open up a pop-up to inspect product titles, PBarcodes, SKU numbers, ground receipt details from the ASN, and product images. Click Product Details within the pop-up to jump straight to editing.

Check Aging and Financial Costs.
Hover over the accrued loss amount in any row to see a breakdown containing:
Total days stranded
Costs incurred to date
Current monthly rate
Projected costs over the next 30 days.

Confirming updates & Reporting QC discrepancies
Submitting a catalog update (Single Reason)
- Once you fix the issue in the product details page, you can click on Resolve Issue.

- A confirmation pop-up titled Confirm your catalog update will open. Select or review What did you update? (pre-selected from the flagged attribute).

- Review the comparison showing the value flagged at QC (red) versus the current catalog value (green). Check the confirmation box attesting that you made the change in the catalog. Click Submit Request.

Submitting a catalog update (Multiple Reason)
- Once you fix the issue in the product details page, you can click on Resolve Issue.

- The pop-up that appears shows all the issues that need to be fixed to move the stock to the saleable category.

- Click Next to see all the issues one by one and see the fixes you made to the content.

- When you review all the fixes, acknowledge the declaration and then click on Submit Request to send it for review.

Note: If the catalog value was not modified and still matches the value flagged during QC, the comparison displays in amber as Unchanged. Submitting without updating the catalog results in an automatic rejection.

Reporting an issue with QC rejection
If you believe the warehouse QC rejection was wrong and no catalog update is needed follow these steps to report an issue.
- Click on the Resolve Issue button.

- In the pop-up that appears, click Report an Issue.

- Select a reason from the dropdown:
The QC rejection reason is incorrect
My catalog value is correct.
The flagged value is wrong
Wrong item was inspected/mismatched PSKU
QC images do not match my item
Other

Then click on Submit Request.

The request will be submitted for review.

Alternative Removal Options (RTV & Disposal)
If an item cannot be fixed through catalog updates, click the dropdown arrow next to Resolve Issue.

Return to Vendor (RTV):

Select the warehouse where you want the item to be delivered.

Then click on Proceed RTV to complete the process.

Dispose:

Select the reason for disposal from the drop-down.

Then acknowledge the declaration and click on Dispose to submit the request for disposal.

Disclaimer on Disposal:
Disposal permanently disposes of the units at the warehouse. Once confirmed, the request cannot be cancelled, and items are ineligible for payouts, disputes, or reimbursements
Tracking request status
You can track the submitted requests by following these simple steps.
- In the inventory page, click on Request History.

- You will be redirected to all the requests you raised to resolve the content issue.

You will be able to view the following status for the requests.
Passed: Request accepted; units are transferred back to saleable inventory.
Rejected: Request denied; review reasons and resubmit.
Pending / Under Review: Request submitted and undergoing verification by the warehouse team. The Resolve Issue button remains deactivated during review.
Auto-rejected: System detected no catalog modifications. Read the Box details explanation, fix the catalog listing, and resubmit.

That’s it!
