Understanding & managing your Selling Origins

A Selling Origin is simply the warehouse location from which your products are shipped to customers.

To start selling on noon, your legal entity must be connected to a Selling Origin. The type of origin you need depends on where you are shipping your products from:

If you ship from

You need

Inside the marketplace country

A domestic origin. That is all.

Outside the marketplace country as well

A separate global origin for that location.

Egypt (EG) Marketplace Notice: Egypt supports domestic origins only. Global Selling Origins are not available for the EG marketplace, meaning you can only sell in Egypt if you ship from within Egypt.

How to add a Selling Origin to a Legal entity

If an origin does not have a legal entity attached to it yet, you can link one in two ways:

  1. Automatically during registration: The legal entity you create when you first sign up is automatically linked to your domestic Selling Origin for you—no extra steps needed.

  1. Manually via Seller Lab:

  • Go to Seller Lab > Store Management > Legal.

  • You need to scroll down and click on the hyperlink that shows all your legal entities.

  • In the legal entity page, you will see all the LE which will say Not being used to sell.

Note:

  • You cannot add a legal entity to an origin if the status of LE is Incomplete, Rejected, or Submitted for approval.

  • You can add a legal entity to an origin if the status of the LE is Not used or Need Attention.

  • Click the Add to an origin button. Select the origin you want this legal entity to sell from from the list.

How to change to a different legal entity

If an origin is already active under one legal entity and you want to switch it to a new one, you have two options:

  1. Automatic Prompt After Entity Creation: Once you create a new legal entity and submit your documents, noon will ask if you want to move your existing origins to the new entity. You will see a list showing each origin's country, type, status, and ID. Simply check the boxes for the origins you wish to transfer.

  1. Manual Request: Go to the details page of your new legal entity, click Add to an origin, and choose the origin you want to transfer.

What happens before the change takes effect

Before your legal entity switch is officially complete, two mandatory steps must be cleared:

  • Sign Terms & Conditions (T&Cs): You must sign the T&Cs for that specific marketplace country before the change can proceed.

  • Manual Review: Once the entity is created and the T&Cs are signed, the noon team will review your request. This process usually takes 1 to 2 business days.

That’s it!
