In accordance with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) regulations effective from January 1, 2025, all sellers offering mobile devices for sale and activation within Egypt must ensure full compliance with IMEI registration and import clearance requirements before delivering devices to customers.
This includes:
Accurate IMEI declaration for each device.
Registration of devices through the NTRA’s authorized platform.
Fulfillment of all applicable import duties, taxes, and submission of required customs documentation.
Any loss, delay, penalty, or additional cost incurred by customers or noon resulting from the seller’s failure to comply with the above requirements, including but not limited to:
- Improper IMEI declaration
- Sale of unregistered devices
- Incomplete or incorrect customs documentation will be the sole responsibility of the seller.
Note: noon reserves the right to recover such costs by deducting them directly from the seller’s account without prior notice.
Non-compliance Impact
Compliance with these regulations is mandatory. Repeated non-compliance may result in:
Listing removal
Account suspension
Further legal action as per applicable Egyptian laws and the platform.
That’s it
